Clinics advertise Rs 80K-1.5L for IVF. Real patients pay Rs 2-4.5L per cycle. We document the gap: medication markups, undisclosed add-ons, repeat cycle costs, and the charges that appear after consent.
Inflated Success Rates
Many clinics claim 50-70% success rates. The national average is closer to 35%. We examine how rates are calculated, what gets excluded, and why the numbers you see in ads rarely match reality.
Emotional Support Gaps
27.5 million Indian couples face infertility. Most navigate it in silence. We document the counselling deficit, the cultural pressure, and the absence of mental health support in fertility care.
Information Asymmetry
Patients make treatment decisions worth lakhs with almost no independent data. We track what information is missing, what is misleading, and what patients say they wish they had known.
Why This Matters
Couples making fertility decisions in India face an almost total absence of independent data. The information that exists is produced by the clinics themselves — the same entities with a financial interest in treatment decisions.
This report is not anti-clinic. Good clinics exist, and many doctors do excellent work. But patients deserve independent data to make informed choices. That is what we are building.
